Hagsfiends are from hagsmire.
Hagsmire is the owl hell, continuously mentioned in the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series and occasionally in the Wolves of the Beyond series. It is the residence of all deceased evil owls and hagsfiends.
In the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series, it is mentioned that St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls is the closest a living owl, good and/or bad, can get to Hagsmire without dying.
Comparisons
Just as the Dim World is the hell for wolves, Hagsmire is the hell for owls. It also houses Hagsfiends (a horrendous crossbreed of crows and owls - sometimes to referred to as 'crowls'), just as the Dim World houses vyrrwolves.
